2. V Mulheres na Ciência
A quinta edição do evento Mulheres na Ciência tem por objetivo a desmitificação da ciência como atividade exclusivamente masculina, bem como o incentivo ao ingresso e à permanência das mulheres no ramo cientÃfico.
O evento é gratuito e ocorrerá no dia 20/08/2018 no Instituto de QuÃmica da Unesp de Araraquara.

3. VIII Encontro Regional de QuÃmica da SBQ-Nordeste e X Encontro Estadual de QuÃmica (ENESQUIM)
As inscrições foram prorrogadas até o 15 de agosto para o VIII Encontro Regional de QuÃmica da SBQ-Nordeste e X Encontro Estadual de QuÃmica (ENESQUIM) que ocorrerá entre os dias 26 a 28 de setembro na Universidade Federal de Sergipe (UFS), Campus Professor Alberto Carvalho.
O perÃodo de inscrições iniciou-se a partir de 15 de junho de 2018 e este ano o evento vem com o tema intitulado "QuÃmica: Interdisciplinaridade, Pesquisa e Alternativas Inovadoras" na qual disponibilizará atividades que proporcionem uma complementação de conhecimentos e ações desenvolvidas pelas Universidades de modo a contribuir para o desenvolvimento regional.

4. ICTP-SAIFR/IOP Entrepreneurship School for Scientists and Engineers
We are glad to announce that online registration is open until August 17, 2018 for the ICTP-SAIFR/IOP Entrepreneurship School for Scientists and Engineers, which will take place at ICTP-SAIFR at the UNESP campus in São Paulo, Brazil, in October 15-19, 2018.
This school is a one-week intensive course aimed at students studying a STEM subject, and for those who are interested in gaining entrepreneurial skills with the view to commercialise scientific ideas or inventions.
Participants will explore the connection between science and business, and sessions will be delivered by experts in business and in technological applications involving agriculture, health and education. In addition to discussing these technological applications, the school will also introduce topics that are fundamental to business such as intellectual property (IP) and patenting, business plan fundamentals, technology readiness levels, market analysis, business financials, presentation and pitching skills and several others. Students will have the opportunity to practise their pitching skills through a group project and a pitching competition at the end of the week.
The fourth day of the school, October 18, will be dedicated to the Conference on Industry-University Interactions in Brazilian Physics. This conference will bring together experts to discuss and share knowledge about University-Industry cooperation. Applicants of this school are automatically registered to participate in this conference.
There is no registration fee and limited funds are available for travel and local expenses.
