Special Issue of Ultrasonics Sonochemistryjournal devoted to Latin America

Dear Colleagues,

In view of many requests to extend the deadline to receive submissions to the Special Issue of Ultrasonics Sonochemistry journal devoted to Latin America, I would like to inform that Elsevier agreed to postpone the respective deadline to June 30th, 2021 also keeping the original decision that for this Special Issue accepted manuscripts will be no charged.

The Special Issue will be published online up to December 2021. If you need extra time to complete your manuscript, do let us know and we will be happy to discuss this with you.

Brazil is the leading country in Latin America, with the highest number of publications in the chemistry field, also being among the top five countries with accepted papers in Ultrasonics Sonochemistry in 2020. Other Latin American countries have also published many papers in Ultrasonics Sonochemistry and these numbers show the relatively high contribution of Latin America to the success and increase of impact factor of Ultrasonics Sonochemistry. It is clear that there is an increasing effort by the scientific community of Latin America to the development of systems and applications in ultrasonics sonochemistry field.

We welcome the submission of Full length Research Articles, Reviews and Short Communications, and all articles will be subject to peer-review process.

You can make the submission by uploading your manuscript through the journal website (https://www.journals.elsevier.com/ultrasonics-sonochemistry). Do not forget to mention in your Cover Letter that you article is intended for the Special Issue for Latin America and use the option "ULTSON in Latin America" when selecting the "Article Type".

We look forward to reading your next article.
