1. Colloquium Spectroscopicum Internationale-XLI (CSI-XLI) / "1st Latin American Meeting on Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LAMLIBS)"
The "Colloquium Spectroscopicum Internationale-XLI (CSI-XLI)" and the "1st Latin American Meeting on Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LAMLIBS)", will be held on June 9-14, 2019 in Mexico City, Mexico. Both conferences are organized by the Institute for Applied Sciences and Technology of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and have the endorsement and support of the Mexican Physical Society and the Mexican Chemical Society. The conferences will be held at the UNAM's conference center in the main campus of our University.
The CSI has become an important forum where scientists, all around the world, working on the field of spectroscopy meet, furthermore, the first Latin American Meeting on Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy will be held simultaneously. The major focus of the CSI refers to the fundamentals and applications of different spectroscopies in the analysis of materials, environment, food, speciation, fuels, nanotechnology, biopharmaceutical, and clinical, as well as biological and proteomics systems. These fields of application nowadays constitute a multi‐billion‐dollar industry.
